The access is via the Namanga road. There is a turning soon after the town of Bissel which heads toward a quarry. It is obvious because there is white powder on the road where the lorries pull out. This road is followed up, past the quarry to a road that arrives at a sort of shoulder of the hill. The cares are to be left here and the hike goes up to the right. There are some relatively unfriendly people in the area so you may want to bring your own askari or put your negotiation skills to the test to get someone local to look after your car.

The hike heads up to a first summit, crosses a dip to a second summit. I always thought the second one was the true summit but after checking on Google Earth it seems to be the first one. Regardless, the second summit is more wild and extends the hike a bit more. The hike should take 5-6 hours including time to relax at the top.
