Access
Access to Lukenya is for MCK members only, as well as their guests, who must be accompanied by their responsible member at all times. Access through Lukenya Academy is a negotiated arrangement, please comply with the guards of the school and exercise respect at all times.Litter and sanitation
Carry out any litter or waste you take into Lukenya. If you need to use the toilet, do so well away from trails, rocks (including boulders!), and the campsite. For poos, dig a hole at least 15 cm deep in a sunny area, covering up afterwards with dirt and rocks. Carry out or burn your toilet paper. Repeat offenders leaving human waste uncovered will be banned from Lukenya.Safety and security
You are responsible for your own safety and security in Lukenya – the MCK is not liable for injury, illness or death. If you need assistance, Sebastian the caretaker can be reached at: 0704 062 616. Remember MCK land is all land within the signposted areas, including most of the main crags, but not including Baboon and Nemesis – refer to the guidebook for more details. Lukenya is generally considered safe from theft or aggression, but exercise the usual caution: do not leave expensive items unattended, travel in pairs or more, etc. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, then contact the caretaker and/or the MCK Committee (either directly or by writing on the MCK Whatsapp group).MCK Campsite
