SUMMARY:Lecture: Life of a Visually Impaired Climber
DESCRIPTION:The Embassy of Japan invites you to attend a public lecture by 
 Mr. Koichiro Kobayashi\, a paraclimber and founder of Monkey Magic. Mr. K
 obayashi first started free climbing in 1984 when he was 16 years old. In 
 1996\, he was told by the doctor that he would completely lose his sight f
 rom a progressive eye‐disease. For years\, he lived in desperation. He w
 as however fortunate to be inspired by so many people he had become friend
 s with\, and through those experiences\, he founded NPO Monkey Magic to fu
 rther free climbing\, the sport he truly loves\, to others with sight disa
